USW represents 850,000 workers in the U.S., Canada and Caribbean

CLAC represents 45,000 people in Canada

Canadian Labour Congress with USW and all CLC affiliates represent 3,000,000 workers in Canada

CLAC not affiliated

USW is part of the world’s largest union called “Unite” which includes Amicus and the Transportation & General Workers Union (T&GWU) of the United Kingdom(UK largest union) now representing 3.5 million workers in North America, the UK and Ireland,

Answer: Is one really required?

 

As our International President, Leo Gerard said:

 

“USW and its affiliates are crucial for challenging the growing power of global capital. Only global solidarity among workers can overcome the massive exploitation that globalization has created.”
