CLAC Principles
To all members of UNIT 613
The CLAC association was established in 1952 to represent workers on the basis of "Christian social principles". CLAC has indicated in many of their literature that it opposes adversarial practices.
CLAC is well acquainted with the phenomenon of raiding; CLAC has also recognized that raids, similar to what is going on in YOW, “…create a good deal of instability within the bargaining unit as the merits of worker representation were debated…” (1.)
Our question is, while CLAC is wrapping themselves in Christian social principles that oppose adversarial practices, why would they create instability in your workplace by promising you that the guarantees that you have till 2011 will remain in effect when they give notice to bargain? Why would they lie?
WHY?
