OTTAWA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Following a recommendation from Steven Hadden of USW Local 1976 and in consultation with Aaron Dell, Yuan Cao and Vincent Dzidah, it was agreed to introduce a process for complaints and grievances, and to find a process for the members of Unit 613 to raise concerns and issues.

In order to be as effective as possible it was agreed to have Stewards represent the members on the shifts which they work.

It was also agreed that whenever an issue is raised, albeit a complaint or grievance, the Steward along with the aggrieved member, would complete a Union Fact Sheet which would in turn be provided to Vincent Dzidah, Grievance Chair or in his absence to Aaron Dell, President of Unit 613 or Yuan Cao, Recording Secretary.

Once a fact sheet is completed, Vincent will review and investigate further and file a grievance if required.

IMPORTANT: A grievance will not be filed unless a fact sheet has been completed. If fact sheets are required you can talk to Yuan Cao who will make arrangements to provide them.

Therefore members should verify their schedules and address their issues to one of the Stewards or the Unit President, Recording Secretary, or the Grievance Chairperson that are working their shift:

Suite aux recommandations de Steven Hadden de la section locale 1976 des Métallos et en consultation avec Aaron Dell, Yuan Cao et Vincent Dzidah, il a été convenu d’introduire une procédure de plaintes et de griefs et de trouver un processus pour permettre aux membres de l’unité 613 de soumettre leurs problèmes et inquiétudes.

Afin d’être le plus efficace possible, il a été entendu que les délégués représenteraient les membres pendant leur quart de travail.

Il a aussi été convenu qu’à chaque fois qu’un problème serait soulevé, comme un grief ou une plainte, le délégué et le membre affecté devront compléter une fiche syndicale de renseignements qui sera remise à Vincent Dzidah, président du comité des griefs, ou en son absence à Aaron Dell, président de l’unité 613, ou à Yuan Cao, secrétaire-archiviste.

Une fois ce formulaire complété, Vincent fera enquête et déposera un grief si nécessaire.

IMPORTANT : Aucun grief ne sera déposé à moins qu’une fiche syndicale de renseignements ait été remplie. Pour obtenir ce formulaire, communiquez avec Yuan Cao qui verra à vous en procurer.

Donc, les membres doivent vérifier leur horaire et signifier les plaintes aux délégués en service pendant leur quart de travail, au président d’unité, au secrétaire-archiviste ou au président du comité des griefs :
